Ride 'Em Cowboy Room ideas
This little boy's room was being used as a guest room while he shared a room with his big brother. When it was time to move him into his own room, he told me he wanted a cowboy theme room. We began by putting some trim molding just above the half way point around the room and leaving a 14" space between the moldings. The bottom portion of the room was rag rolled to give a denim effect. Since this little boy was fascinated with cowboys and horses, we stamped running horses and stars in the center strip around the perimeter of the room. Photos of his mother as a child on horseback and his grandfather leading a pack trail of horses, were enlarged and reproduced in sepia tones and framed for him to enjoy over his bed. The denim and red quilt added to the vintage cowboy feel. The twin bed, set up to look like a daybed, freed up play space on the floor of this very small room.
